Episode Three – Siege

While Vincent saves an elderly man from a fire set by punks, Catherine is meeting Elliot Burch, a wealthy and very attractive developer.  She begins to fall in love with him, which causes Vincent to suffer much emotional turmoil. Catherine discovers during her investigation into the fire that Elliot’s company is responsible for the harassment of the tenants living in his rent controlled building.  His callous attitude causes her to break off the relationship.  Later that evening, Vincent leaves a book of Shakespeare’s sonnets on her balcony with the inscription “Shakespeare knew everything,” written in his handwriting.  Inside there is a single rose marking Sonnet 29.
