Episode Thirty One – Brothers

~ Charles~

 Devin rescues Charles, the Dragon Man, and brings him to the tunnels.  Charles suffers from neurofibromatosis, commonly called Elephant man disease, and has been horribly mistreated and put on display by his brother Eddie in a traveling carnival side show.  With Catherine’s help, Devin convinces Eddie to leave Charles alone.  Below Charles forms a tenuous friendship with Vincent but has a hard time interacting with others, accidentally injuring Father and later unintentionally hurting Mouse.  Afraid he will be punished, Charles retreats to the spiral staircase.  Vincent finds him and they talk of their pain and their dreams.  In the end, Devin takes Charles to the mountains where Charles can begin to heal emotionally.
