Photo Collages
Lynn Wright

A couple of people have commented on the photo collages that I've done to illustrate Ann R. Brown's 'Castle of the Beast'.  Because someone asked, I've made a sheet showing how I do it.   The first one  is a scene from chapter 9; I picked this one because it's fairly simple, it has no people in it. The second page does have people.  That's a little bit tougher.

If anyone has an interest in making their own photo montages, I'd be glad to give further input, or help in any way that I can.

These collages were done entirely with Microsoft's Picture It!  I like this program very much. I've been using it for several years, and I still find things that I didn't know it would do.  I'm NOT a Microsoft fan as a rule, but this is a good program.  I have the 2000 version, there must be newer ones.

All of the pictures came from Google's image search, a very good resource. I put in words like 'island', 'castle', 'ruins', 'hamper', 'rock'.  If you keep looking long enough, you can find just about anything you want.
