A bit of advance notice and
planning will help our art show at the con to run much more smoothly.
You may sell your own art, or items from your personal collection.
If you want to sell art at the con, you need to do 4 things:
- Contact our art room manager, Laura
G by June 15. Let her know how many
pieces of art you are bringing, and a rough estimate of how much space
you'll need.
- For
each art piece you are selling, fill out a bid sheet. You may indicate
a starting bid, a quick sale price, or both. Write N/A in boxes that
are not applicable. Make your description as detailed as possible
("Vincent portrait" is rather vague
)
and print off a picture of each item approximately 2 inches by 2 inches
so that your art item cannot be confused with another.
- Fill out a control sheet listing all of the art
pieces you are selling.
- Bring your art, your control sheet, and your bid
sheets to the art room at the con.
If you are not attending the con, mail your art along with your forms
to je by July 1.
Due to limited space we cannot guarantee that late entrants will be
accepted.
After
the con, 85% of your art's selling price will be sent to you. The other
15% will support our charity, Open Your Heart to the Hungry and
Homeless. The bid sheet and control sheet are essential to your getting
paid. Fill them out clearly and completely please. If you have
questions about the forms, ask Laura.
This year's art show promises to be as abundant and wonderful as the
last couple of cons. Thank you for helping to make it so!
